The Website that Led Me to an Awakening

I believe in the sanctity of human life.  This also applies to those who have not been born yet.  Earlier this month I found a website that eventually caused quite a stir in my life.  This website is called, Pro-Life PC.  Here is the link.  This information along with what was released on the web of a list of PP corporate donors, led to me having a major realization:  The Pro-Life Community can help defund Planned Parenthood by stop buying and using Microsoft products!

For far too long, those of us in the tech community, have been offering over-priced Microsoft products without offering clients a choice or alternative to other software.  This much change.  The time is now. 

A Good Analogy of Our System of Management

I have been in the workforce for about 3 decades.  So far, I think I have seen it all.  I tend to be a goal oriented person who is geared towards solving problems.  I take things for as they are.  I work with what I have and make the best of it. 

Recently, I found this article about an analogy about the American style of management vs the Japanese style of management.  I know from personal experience, that too often, no matter how obvious the problem is, the obvious, plain simple solution is outright ignored.  Catastrophic failure is inevitable and is considered acceptable to management.  Here is that article.

This article is long but it is a good read.  It gives insight and details we would not know otherwise.  It is relevent to today's current events.  

This is about time!  Someone needs to stand up and expose Yelp for what it really is!  Yelp is supposed to be a business listing directory like it's name suggests (Yellow Pages).  In reality, Yelp is just another social network used to bully / harass business owners.  When a user posts a so called review, the have to agree to the TOS.  Part of that is that the review cannot be a personal attack on someone.  Users often violate the TOS and launch attacks on unsuspecting business owners.  Yelp does nothing about this.  Also, unlike real the Yellow Pages, Yelp does not allow an owner to remove a listing.  I hope either gov regulators step in or a class action lawsuit is filed against Yelp for all the trouble they create.
