Free Stuff vs Freedom

It seems to me nowadays, that the two thing folks are striving for more and more are freedom or free stuff such as government hand-outs or entitlements.

To me, I believe that you can't get something for nothing.  If you really want all that free stuff, it s going to cost you something.  People from all parts of the globe are struggling for freedom from tyranny. Yet we here in the USA voted for a president who promised us affordable healthcare for everyone no matter what.

Now some are just beginning to realize that there is a cost to this.   This shows up in the form of lost jobs and increased healthcare costs.  With our weak economy, this is only going to make it worse.

I say that the real cost of this healthcare law is going to far out way the benefit. 

The High Cost of “Green” Energy

Recently, I found this article online about tax payer funded green energy companies that failed.  Our current administration has been playing the game of Venture Capitalist with tax payer’s money.  It would be fine if all these so called “investments” mostly paid off and help boost our economy.  Instead, what we have is a large number of theses tax payer funded firms either already bankrupt or about to go under.  This is bad for everyone.  There is no economic boost from companies that fail.  So much for the Green Energy economic recovery.

I Did Not Know That It Was Legal

I recently read this article that says wealthy people from Europe and Asia are coming to this doctor’s office in NY to pay large sums of money to have a fertility procedure to allow them to choose the sex of their baby.  I had no idea that this was legal.
